How To Make Delicious Chilli Cheese Toast At Home

These super delicious and easy to make chilli cheese toast are best for breakfast or as snacks and they are also loved by kids. Here I am using green chilli and capsicum as main ingredients but you can add more vegetables according to your own taste. Chilli cheese toast taste really amazing, with nice cheese softness and perfect crispiness of breads. They are so quick to make and can easily satisfy your tasty food cravings. So, do try it at home and enjoy.

Other Names: Cheese Toast, Chilli Toast, Garlic Chilli Cheese Toast Ingredients: 4 White Bread Slices 1 ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese (grated) ½ cup Green Capsicum (finely chopped) 1 tsp Garlic (finely chopped) 2 tbsp Butter 1 tbsp Green Chillies (finely chopped) ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder 1-2 tsp Red Chili Flakes 1 tsp Dry Oregano Salt (according to taste) Instructions: 1. First we will make garlic butter spread, for this I am using 2 tbsp salted butter which has become soft as I have kept it out of fridge for 30 mins at room temperature. Now lets add ¼ tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp oregano or you can use any herb of your choice, and finally add 1 tsp finely chopped garlic. Now mix all ingredients well with butter. We have added garlic and herbs to enhance bread toast taste but if you don’t have any of these you can just use butter. 2. Once butter spread is ready lets start making cheese mixture. For this I am using 1 ½ cup mozzarella cheese, 1 tbsp green chillies and ½ cup finely chopped capsicum. If you don’t have mozzarella cheese you can use cheddar cheese or any other processed cheese and for chillis adjust the quantity according to the spiciness you want. 3. Now add all ingredients in a bowl and then add little bit of salt and ¼ tsp black pepper powder. Now mix all ingredients well. If you feel mixture is too dry add 2 tbsp milk and mix it well with ingredients. Now cheese mixture is ready so keep it aside to use later in the recipe. 4. Now take some bread slices, I am using white bread but you can use any bread, and the butter spread we made earlier. Now apply this butter spread on one side of bread like this. Similarly apply butter spread on one side of all breads. 5. Now lets start roasting these breads from the side where we applied butter. For this first heat tawa on low–medium heat. When its hot put breads on tawa from the butter side. Now roast them on low heat for 4-5 mins till they become little crispy. Just be careful we need to toast these breads from only butter side. 6. Once breads are toasted well and become crispy transfer them to a plate. Now we will put cheese mixture on these breads. So take a toasted bread and place around 2-3 tbsp cheese mixture on toasted side like this. Similarly spread cheese mixture on all bread slices. At last for extra spiciness and taste sprinkle some red chilli flakes on top of cheese mixture. 7. Once all bread slices are ready lets start toasting them again. For this heat tawa on low-medium heat. When its hot put heat to low and apply some plain butter on tawa or you can also use cooking oil. 8. Now put some bread slices on tawa and cover them with a lid so that breads are completely covered by lid without touching cheese. Now let them cook for 7-8 mins on low heat till all cheese melts away and bread becomes crispy. If you don’t have tawa you can also bake them in a preheated oven at 180 C/356 F for 5-7 mins till all cheese melts nicely and the bread becomes golden brown. 9. After around 8 minscheck if bread slices are toasted well and if cheese is melted perfectly on top of breads. 10. Now our super delicious chilli cheese toast is ready, so take them out in a plate and serve them hot. Tips n Tricks: 1. You can use herbs in butter spread according to your own taste. 2. You can choose vegetables to put on bread according to your own taste. 3. If you don’t have white bread you can use any other breads like wheat bread.
